Yes, for most blood tests, you need to fast for 10–12 hours. Only plain water is permitted. We will remind you when you make your booking.

Fasting required: Blood Sugar (FBS), Lipid Profile. No fasting needed: CBC (blood count), Thyroid, HbA1c, Liver Function (LFT), Kidney Function (KFT), Iron Profile, most hormone tests— these can be done anytime

1. Use the morning's first urine.
2. Clean the area with water.
3. Let a little urine pass first, then collect the middle portion in the sterile container we provide.
4. Bring it to the lab within 1–2 hours.
